i've been a busy little bee during the past 2.5 weeks that i haven't updated. :) so, to make life easier on everyone (because i have pictures to post as well), i'll divide everything up by event.

yup. that's right. yours truly went to the midnight (11:59pm) showing of harry potter and the goblet of fire. me, liam, michelle, deborah, and deborah's friend headed out to the sf metreon and me and michelle dressed up as little hogwarts students. as i was walking past people they all pointed at me and said "look, she's dressed up as cho chang!" haha. oh, and we snuck into the IMAX to watch it (courtesy of michelle). it was my first IMAX movie and that was pretty awesome!

the movie: the special effects were pretty good i thought. the movie itself was alright. there were a lot of liberties taken by the directors..which included omissions from the book and putting stuff in that didn't really happen. i can't blame them though, there was a LOT of information in the book and the movie would've been very long otherwise. the ending was sad, but overall was a pretty enjoyable way to spend the evening.

me and michelle as hogwarts students (yes, we're flashing the 'four' sign for harry potter book 4)

so we FINALLY got a bunch of us together to have dinner in the city. and i FINALLY got to see uri, arianne, lorenzo, and to meet loren for the first time. i haven't seen arianne since freshman year! that girl is always so busy! but she promises to visit me in berkeley someday...oh, it's the first time liam's meeting my high school buddies too! arianne regaled everyone at the table with her middle school stories of going to school without a roof (after a typhoon blew it away) and that was why she was so dark when she was younger...

nov. 18th was the 108th BIG GAME against our archrival stanfurd (otherwise known as the junior college across the bay or 'the farm')me, liam and his friend jen drove down there for the game. we kicked the cardinal's ass! our band was AWESOME and so is our quarterback LEVY. all in all, a most enjoyable game. liam even crowd-surfed!

downside: spending 40 minutes trying to find the car because on a farm everything looks exactly the same...it turns out we parked in the boonies somewhere...*sigh*

so the week before thanksgiving ms. christy andres drives up to san francisco to spend some quality time with all of us. so, me and gee sun decide to take her to asia sf. asia sf is this restaurant that serves fabulous food (3 yummy courses) and while you're eating, they have performances every hour. but check this: the performers are all transexuals.. that is, they're men that look like women (implants and everything). they dance atop the bar to various music and in various costumes. all of us (me, gee sun, christy, adam, oki, michael chan, liam, and jen) couldn't believe that they were really guys...

hey cho chang! haha seriously like anyone with any sort of asian persuasion would like they're trying to be cho chang.. wasn't her accent weird in the movie? i just couldn't place it.. i mean i know people who live in england all have the same accent but she sounded really different.. i was really perplexed by it.. i love your movie review.. that's exactly how i feel.. geez... i was trying to explain to jason how i felt about the movie but all i could say was DUDE, what happened to Hermione and the Elves, Hermione catching Rita Skeeter being an animangus? (i think that's what it was) and omg, what about hogsmeade? ahhh! i love hogsmeade.. (is that how you spell it? i can't remember)anyways, enough with my HP obsession.. i so wanted to wear hogwarts-related wear as well but was forbidden.. stupid oppressive backwards boyfriend... i too went to watch the midnight show.. i even switched shifts to do it.. but when i watched it, it was so packed that we sat in the front and it was not enjoyable because these crazy crazed couple kept looking at me and jason everytime we made like a noise.. a cough here, a sniff there, shifting of the popcorn, slurp slurp, creaky chair noise.. it was so irritating.. and this other couple behind us had a little baby with them and they kept hitting the back of our seats so they could stand up and rock the baby everytime it woke up because of all the loud noises.. get a clue! nevertheless it was not a good day for dedicated fans everywhere.. so we ended up watching it again a couple of days later.. you look super cute with the robe! hahah and hello lorenzo's pose is so.. lorenzo.. and finally someone whiter than you! (liam! hahaha just kidding.. but he is pretty white, camera flash bulbs are not his friend..) when we were looking at your pics, one of my friends saw the transies and didn't know what they really were and he was like! holy shit those are your friends from guam! hook me up! i politely let him read a little of your entry to clarify the information.. let's just say he is never interested in being your friend if you're already lying to him.. :P great pictures!

haha.. thanks! the theatre was packed when we went... a lot of people dressed up... i tried to convince liam to go as cedric (i mean he DOES have the brown hair)...but alas, he didn't want to.. i think cho's accent sounded irish or scottish to me.. it really threw me off at first too. i've never heard an asian with that accent before! anyways, you should update with pictures of your new place.. how's that goin btw?
