i've been a busy little bee during the past 2.5 weeks that i haven't updated. :) so, to make life easier on everyone (because i have pictures to post as well), i'll divide everything up by event.
yup. that's right. yours truly went to the midnight (11:59pm) showing of harry potter and the goblet of fire. me, liam, michelle, deborah, and deborah's friend headed out to the sf metreon and me and michelle dressed up as little hogwarts students. as i was walking past people they all pointed at me and said "look, she's dressed up as cho chang!" haha. oh, and we snuck into the IMAX to watch it (courtesy of michelle). it was my first IMAX movie and that was pretty awesome!
the movie: the special effects were pretty good i thought. the movie itself was alright. there were a lot of liberties taken by the directors..which included omissions from the book and putting stuff in that didn't really happen. i can't blame them though, there was a LOT of information in the book and the movie would've been very long otherwise. the ending was sad, but overall was a pretty enjoyable way to spend the evening.
me and michelle as hogwarts students (yes, we're flashing the 'four' sign for harry potter book 4)

my outfit, complete with robe (once again, courtesy of michelle...thanks mich!)

so we FINALLY got a bunch of us together to have dinner in the city. and i FINALLY got to see uri, arianne, lorenzo, and to meet loren for the first time. i haven't seen arianne since freshman year! that girl is always so busy! but she promises to visit me in berkeley someday...oh, it's the first time liam's meeting my high school buddies too! arianne regaled everyone at the table with her middle school stories of going to school without a roof (after a typhoon blew it away) and that was why she was so dark when she was younger...

nov. 18th was the 108th BIG GAME against our archrival stanfurd (otherwise known as the junior college across the bay or 'the farm')me, liam and his friend jen drove down there for the game. we kicked the cardinal's ass! our band was AWESOME and so is our quarterback LEVY. all in all, a most enjoyable game. liam even crowd-surfed!
downside: spending 40 minutes trying to find the car because on a farm everything looks exactly the same...it turns out we parked in the boonies somewhere...*sigh*
liam and i, with our game faces on

the final score

so the week before thanksgiving ms. christy andres drives up to san francisco to spend some quality time with all of us. so, me and gee sun decide to take her to asia sf. asia sf is this restaurant that serves fabulous food (3 yummy courses) and while you're eating, they have performances every hour. but check this: the performers are all transexuals.. that is, they're men that look like women (implants and everything). they dance atop the bar to various music and in various costumes. all of us (me, gee sun, christy, adam, oki, michael chan, liam, and jen) couldn't believe that they were really guys...
